Eight steps, one rhythm.
FOLLETTE is the way through: walked in every pattern moment, and walked as an arc over months. F–O–L is the descent. L–E is the turn. T–T–E is the climb.
It is the client-facing heart of Joe's NORM model, the Neuro-Relational Operant Rewiring Model, which NORM Rhythm is built on.
Transformation doesn't happen when you know a new truth. It happens when you practice a new rhythm until it becomes who you are.
The eight steps
Each letter names the skill it teaches.
Face Reality
Name what is really happening: the moment, the feeling, the cost. No minimizing, no blaming.
Open a Space
Pause before the old move. The space between the trigger and the response is where the choice lives.
Locate the Pattern
The move you keep making, and the imbalance it creates: what gets fed, what gets starved.
Look Again
Go under the pattern to the belief it keeps time to. Then read it again: is it true?
Exchange What Isn't Working
Choose the new move that meets the need underneath the old one: "When ___, instead of ___, I will ___."
Take Responsibility
Own your part and repair, especially after a slip.
Train New Rhythms
Repeat the new move, daily, until it is normal.
Embody Truth-Based Love
Love that can be heard, seen and felt, not just hoped for.
The 5 C's: what you do today
The plain-language handles for walking FOLLETTE every day. Catch it. Change it. Cement it.
Catch It
Face reality, open a space, locate the pattern.
Change It
Look again, and exchange what isn't working.
Cement It
Take responsibility, and repair.
Celebrate It
Train the new rhythm, day after day.
Coach It
Embody it, and pass it on.
Truth-based love
Truth-based love is love that can be heard, seen and felt, not just hoped for. Your loving actions match your loving words.
It is where Face Reality comes home: the method starts by facing what is really happening, not what you dream is happening, and it ends by loving in ways that are real.
